I hope to see you there.<br \/>\nThe following is from the official announcement.<\/p>\n<p>Date:                   August 20 \u2013 22, September 3-6, 2013<br \/>\nTime:                   9:00 am \u2013 4:00 pm<br \/>\nLocation:           <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Irving K. Barber Learning Centre\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Irving_K._Barber_Learning_Centre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Irving K. Barber Learning Centre<\/a>, UBC<br \/>\nSeminar Room 2.22, Fraser River Room 2.27<\/p>\n<p>Join us for the 2013 CTLT Summer Institute! The seven-day Institute is made up of a series of instructional workshops, lectures and presentations that seek to help both new and experienced faculty members and graduate students improve their teaching.<\/p>\n<p>There will be opportunities to explore ideas and share strategies across a range of topics including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>assessment<\/li>\n<li><a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Metacognition\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Metacognition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">metacognition<\/a><\/li>\n<li>facilitative teaching<\/li>\n<li>participatory learning<\/li>\n<li>preparing for the upcoming <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Truth and Reconciliation Commission (South Africa)\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Truth_and_Reconciliation_Commission_%28South_Africa%29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia\">Truth and Reconciliation Commission<\/a> Day on September 18<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Institute is open to all faculty, staff and graduate students in the UBC teaching community.
