Hello everyone, welcome to our site! My name is Jessica R<\/a><\/span> and I am in my fifth year at UBC and I will be graduating this May with an English Language Degree. I\u2019ve just been admitted into the UBC Education Program so I will be continuing my studies here in September. I am interested in our research question because up until this course I\u2019ve been naive to think that all Aboriginals have the same creation story because of my Christian background. I look forward to expanding my knowledge with the rest of my profound group and looking into new creation stories.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Hey guys, glad you landed on our site! I\u2019m Jessica Pellegrino<\/a><\/span> and I am 3rd year student at UBC. I have one year left to finish my BA in English lit and then, like Jess R, I plan to apply for the BEd program at UBC. Fingers are crossed I get accepted. This research question definitely strikes me as something I wanted to take on because I feel like it will give me a better understanding of Aboriginal culture and life. Seeing as they were the first people\u2019s here in Canada, I feel that it is imperative to know what views they held and how different perspectives came from different groups. Welcome to our conference site where we hope you will engage with us on our thoughts regarding different creation stories and their importance! I’m Susie Carter<\/a><\/span>, a 4th year English Lit Major who, all going according to plan, will be in Chan Hall on May 20th graduating from the amazing UBC. When I sat down with\u00a0these girls to discuss potential research questions, we were all struck by how the importance of a culture’s respective creation narrative, and how little\u00a0people seem to know about them. I am\u00a0really excited to delve into this topic and explore the different stories about the\u00a0creation of this beautiful earth which we are so lucky to call home!\u00a0\u00a0We are so\u00a0privileged to live in a country that has a range of\u00a0creation narratives and I think it is time to let some\u00a0more be shared!
