So this is my “About Me” page I guess. I’m really nervous that I have this blog because I’m scared that I’ll turn into an avid blogger…oh well.<\/p>\n
Anyway, my name is Jocelyn Toledo and I am currently a First Year Arts Student who is striving to get her BFA in theatre. I’m a musical theatre junkie who has been singing before I could talk, having my first vocal performance…God knows when…and have been acting since I was 4 years old, starting off in small community church plays. I am currently casted in a Christmas Pantomime with North Vancouver’s Community Player’s Club “Rapunzel: A tangled tale”, which I am sure will be a blast. Along with my musical theatre skills and passion, I play the guitar, ukulele, used to play the piano (although if you leave me with a piano, sheet music and half an hour I could probably regain myself), and studied voice, being categorized as both an alto or soprano, though I usually settle for a mezzo in most choral pieces. I enjoy reading, sitting in cafes, sketching and writing music.<\/p>\n
Although I seem very artsy, I am definitely a sporty girl. I love going to the gym and have played volleyball, basketball and badminton in a varsity level as well as ran the track indoor and outdoor. I used to be an all-star competitive cheerleader with Winnipeg’s lovely Central Cheer Cheetahs where my team placed 5th nationally and am currently a UBC Cheerleader. I also have a passion in marksmanship and biathlon, which is a running\/shooting and skiing\/shooting sport, where I have competed provincially. I love hiking, swimming, camping- you name it..and am weirdly strong for my 5 foot, 100 pound size.<\/p>\n
