Presenting my research at international academic conferences has enabled me to connect with early childhood professors, early childhood educators and children, and early childhood policy makers in other parts of the world. Learning about early childhood practices and how children are positioned and viewed in other global contexts has influenced my research interests, my teaching, and my work with undergraduate and graduate students.
