Apple’s Business Ethics
Apple’s notorious product launch of the long awaited iPhone 6 in conjunction with the Apple Watch and Apple Pay have raised many concerns and questions revolving the safety and privacy of consumer’s information. Since this is a step out of Apple’s usual market, the public is worried about the precautions that are being implementing to keep personal health information and payment information secure.
It is part of Apple’s responsibility and business ethic to create a product and a service that is safe and reliable for all of their consumers. Furthermore, they have the moral responsibility to carry out the regulations and strict guidelines they impose to their app developers and its other users. As Apple is branching broader out into the market of servicing payments and information, they must develop new ways to combat hackers and ensure privacy. Apple has provided a great opportunity for stakeholders to succeed and is responsible providing such success.
Apple is already in the heat for the recent leak of explicit photos of Jennifer Lawrence’s from their Apple accounts. A situation like this does not ease the anxiety of the storming privacy concerns. Apple has already brainstormed a few promising ideas, but is it going to be enough?
