Speculative Futures

My name is Jonathan Tromsness and I live on the traditional and ancestral territory of the Okanagan Syilx people. Though I was trained as a secondary band teacher, I find myself teaching elementary (K-8) music. The shift from teenagers to those who's ages contain single digits has been both challenging and rewarding. I really enjoy my job as a music/drama teacher and have found many benefits to teaching elementary school. I love playing and performing music and have performed in a variety of bands, recording sessions, and have composed music for TV commercials. I am most proud of my two boys and prioritizing my family over work and play. Finding the balance can be difficult but it's very rewarding. This is my last MET course and I'm very excited to complete the program!
