Olympic Withdrawal

by Jordan McGarry on March 3, 2010

Currently: Sitting in Irving waiting for my next class.

I’m sure all you “Vancouverites” are all super depressed that the Olympics are no longer here. Before the break, I thought the Olympics were just going to be a pain when it comes to getting around and all that, but it ended up to be the best two weeks of my life. I pretty much party’ed everyday, on the streets, or in a club, or anywhere I saw the Canadian Flag being waved. Now that is all over, I can’t help but be depressed and emotional, I have little to no motivation to do anything in school. It’s like I just broke up with a long-term girlfriend… and this girl was the most beautiful of all… the Olympics.

So, on the topic of school, I am thinking of taking Summer School. I am contemplating taking CHEM 233, CHEM 235 from May to Mid June, then from Mid June to Mid July take BIO 200. Get it over with, then come Year 2, I will be able to have an easy course schedule and have more time to enjoy life, instead of stress myself out. I am thinking of taking BIOCHEM in Term 2 of my 2nd year as well, and this would help me do that. Anyones opinion would be greatly appreciated.

It is almost time for Physics, so I unfortunately have to end my blog post here, even though I have so much more to say about the Olympics and everything. But so long for now!

Good luck with 233 and 200 in the Summer >.>;; I have friends who regret taking those last Summer XD

And Biochem = BIOL 201? That’s pretty standard for a second year BIOL student. If you’re planning on taking BIOC 302, I think BIOL 201 is a prereq, so I don’t think you’d be able to do that next year?

I plan to take BIO 201 First term, then BIOC 302 in 2nd term of 2nd year, since I’m taking 200 in the summer.

Mmm, I don’t think they offer BIOL 201 in first term of the Winter Session, but I’m not sure…
