I am currently in the Bachelors of Education program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C.  I recently finished my extended practicum in which I spent 10 weeks teaching a K/1/2 class at Charles Dickens Elementary School.  I had the most incredible experience and learned so much during my practicum! I am now on to my Community Field Experience which is a 3 week placement in the community working in an alternative education setting.  I am placed in the central interior of British Columbia in the Cariboo region.  For the next three weeks this is where I will be living.  I am excited to explore the area and to experience the wonders of the north!  Iv’e got my bags packed, cowgirl boots on, and bug spray ready.  Here I come!
