Teaching allows one to continually be immersed in an environment of discovery and learning; taking the role of teacher will allow me to be constantly attentive to the unique vision of children and the opportunity to assist in their growth and exploration. Children posses a unique ability to observe what is often unnoticed by the adult mind and have a innate desire for learning and exploration which is insatiable; It is these natural tendencies of children which regularly fill my mind with wonder and heart with immense joy. Teaching children comes with an ample share of frustration because the mind of a child often lacks the same kind of restraint and strict order found in the adult population but it is these same qualities that allow being in their presence to be such a rewarding experience. The mind of a child requires patience and a delicate understanding on the part of an educator and an awareness of their individual needs; a successful educator has the ability to excite in the child a vivacity for life and learning that has the potential to follow each student into adult life. The teacher is given a remarkable opportunity to use their carefully attained knowledge and experience to engage the child and lead him/her toward gaining the skills necessary to flourish both educationally and as a humble citizen of the world.
