Hello!

My name is Kelly Kim and I am a second-degree student pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science.

I moved to Vancouver 4-months ago from Toronto for this program and opened up a new chapter of my life. Previously, I had completed my Bachelor of Commerce degree, specializing in finance at Rotman Commerce, the University of Toronto. After completion of my first degree, I have worked in TD Securities for three years, where I was part of the Corporate Lending team.

Working in finance where automation projects were prevalent everywhere, my interest gravitated towards data and technology. Furthermore, I wanted to gain more knowledge about what customers wanted and build products according to their wants and needs. As a result, I made a career shift and joined the TD Credit Cards’ data team, where we analyze TD Credit Card and MBNA Card data sets to fulfill the bank’s business needs. Currently, I work full time and have also begun my new journey in computer science by joining the BCS Program. I hope to become a software developer and build impactful products in the future.

Apart from these career aspirations, I love going to the gym and attending spin classes. I am hoping to find more friends with similar interests!
