In Timothy Drabble’s blog, Patagonia: An Ethical Business Model, he discusses how Patagonia manages to stand apart from other outdoor equipment and clothing brands.
Unlike its competitors – North Face, MEC, & REI -, Patagonia has a highly ethical business model and strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Timmy’s main point about Patagonia’s ethical model is that they’re the only clothing manufacturer that doesn’t use feathers plucked from live birds. He also states that as a consumer, “he can tell that their business is run by an ethically sound board of members” (Drabble, Timmy).
I agree with Timmy that Patagonia is one of the most ethical outdoor equipment and clothing brands. They are unique and have strong values and goals. Although Patagonia has undertaken a lot of commitment, they are definitely making the effort to be the best.
