The Product
The creators of Google Wave, Lars and Jens Rasmussen, simply define “it as a modern reinvention of email.” However, it is much more than just a reinvention of the email, it is also a reinvention of teleconferences and group meetings. Google Wave allows ideas to be shared in incredible detail by utilizing an instant messaging interface while allowing diagrams, templates, videos, and other pieces of information to be placed on the actual Wave. Creators of the Wave can add in members which are able to fully participate in the wave as well as being completely caught up to date upon joining the wave, without the need for overviews by other team members. This is due to a full history of the wave, starting from its creation, being available for every participant to see even if they have just joined.
