Short Biography:<\/h2>\n

Keith Head is a professor in the Strategy and Business Economics Division at the Sauder School of Business of the University of British Columbia. He holds the HSBC Professorship in Asian Commerce. After earning a Bachelor of Arts at Swarthmore College in 1986, he completed a Ph.D. in Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1991 under the supervision of Paul Krugman.<\/p>\n

Dr. Head teaches courses on international business management and government policy toward business. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association. His research focuses on international trade and the decisions of multinational corporations. Recently published work includes 1) the impact of multinational acquisitions of beer and spirits brands, 2) a review of the (partial) success of European integration policies, and 3) the impact of tighter CUSMA rules of origin on auto production in North America. Current research examines industrial policy for multi-stage production (focus on battery-electric vehicle industry) and optimal tariffs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
