People don’t want the best spaghetti sauce, they want to choose from the best spaghetti sauces.

“The Paradox of Choice” by Barry Schwartz

How often do you go to the grocery store to buy salad dressing or soup and find yourself paralyzed in the aisle not able to choose. Schwartz points out at his grocery store there are 175 different salad dressings and 230 different soups.

“Asia’s Rise: How and When” by Hans Rosling

Rosling compares the history of China and India to the western world and predicts when the per capita pay in these Asian countries will surpass the US and the UK.

“Does Democracy Stifle Economic Growth?” by Yasheng Huang

Huang analyzes the history and economies of the two largest countries in the world, India and China, to determine whether India’s democracy is the reason they have not been able to keep pace with China and their one party authoritarian government.
