I just read Jeremy Andruschak’s post God Doesn’t Have Any Friends and I had a good laugh because it is so true.
I am a self proclaimed Facebook creeper but have even noticed a recent decline in my own social media use because I have become to find it somewhat ridiculous.
The worst though is Twitter. For the majority of people who use it as an outlet to update the world on every second of their life….get a life. Some use Twitter to post interesting political or social events for discussion, which is a lot more legit than posting “just ate a sandwich..yum”.
The social media craze is growing and becoming more of a joke than a creative outlet to express opinion or stay in touch with family and friends. Sadly, I don’t think this is going to change anytime soon. If anything, it is going to get worse and soon people are going to become even more isolated from the real world and start staying in on the weekend to go on ChatRoulette….oh wait, some already do. This is not okay to do by yourself!!!!! Find some friends and at least make it into a drinking game…
