While reading my classmate Jeffrey Blake’s blog I came across a specific post that caught my attention.
Jeffrey’s post Gays Make a Stand links to an website called www.fckh8.com which is a campaign against Prop 8 ( The state of California’s ban on gay marriage: “only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.” – Wikipedia ).
This website sells t shirts for $13.00, with $5.00 from each t shirt being donated to the fight against Prop 8, and the hope for equality in marriage.
Also, included on the website is a controversial (yet, in my opinion effective) video mocking those who are intolerant of homosexuality.
Although Jeffrey’s post was targeted towards highlighting the profit that the website creator is making, I still think it’s great that my classmates are using their blogs to bring up such importance issues of ignorance that should no longer be tolerated in today’s so called “civilized society”.
