To attract consumers to their new premium roast coffee, McDonalds is giving away free coffee to anyone from November 15 – 28, no other purchase necessary!
Not only does this make current customers very happy but it also draws in an entirely new crowd of consumers who would otherwise probably not think to stop at McDonalds over its competitors Tim Hortons or Starbucks for their morning coffee.
I think this is a great idea as most people on impulse will probably pick up a little something else, such as a muffin, to go with their coffee, or McDonalds will at least pull in some new loyal consumers if their coffee is as supreme as they are marketing it to be.
I am actually pretty curious to know if the campuses Tim Horton’s and Starbucks have noticed a decline in their coffee sales in the past two weeks…
