This blog is centred around English 301, a course in technical writing. Presented as an online course the intent is to enhance the knowledge and skills of written and online communications. Students in the course will work with the instructor both independently and collaboratively with peers, allowing peer reviews at varying levels of expertise and experience. English 301 offers effective writing techniques for students entering graduate studies or professional careers. The course includes writing principles, proposals, reports, online resumes, job applications, LinkedIn profiles, and a web folio.

English 301 provides me opportunities to gain experience in writing that differs in comparison to former English courses that I have completed. During this course I am looking forward to gaining skills and knowledge in professional writing with special focus on resume building and applications, with the hopes of changing career paths with confidence in my technical writing abilities.
