Assessment

Building an assessment in moodle has been interesting. The actual building of it did not seem too difficult, but what I do see in building a quiz for adult learners is that it is very difficult to create meaningful questions that reflect real situations and are engaging. The motivation aspect of adult learning is challenged in my opinion by the addition of correct and incorrect responses. It changes the motivation from internal to external (just need to get the right number). It also limits critical thinking I believe.

I had challenges in getting the content to be what I wanted it to look like. What what I have been building in iWeb, there is a certain look and feel that is lost when it is broken up with the moodle pieces. I am going to have to spend much more time learning the pieces of moodle in order to maintain a coherent flow (or modify my iWeb design so that it matches moodle).
