We believe the Ktunaxa CLCs will lead to improved health outcomes, such as:
- Providing accessible trusted health information
- Promoting community wellness and engagement
- Incorporating cultural beliefs, attitudes, and practices into health information
- Enabling access to and use of traditional language
- Developing long-term research and technological capacity
- Engaging community members to participate in community-based initiatives
- Increasing employment chances via technical, research and interpersonal skills training
- Improving awareness of community health resources
- Facilitating collaboration between community members (e.g., children, youth, adults, elders)
- Encouraging community members to build new and expand upon existing health resources/programs
