WELCOME!
My name is Laura MacTaggart and I am a third year Land and Food Systems student in the Global Resource Systems program. I am from a small farm outside of Lacombe, Alberta where my passion for the outdoors and for food production took root. While I have spent alot of my life travelling and playing sports, especially volleyball, my love for the outdoors (camping, gardening, exploring, hiking) has never faltered. My Undergraduate education is focused on environment in North America and I am particularly interested in the relationship between environment, humans and food production. From May 2nd until August 31st of 2016, I will be working as an Assistant Groundskeeper at the Agassiz Research and Development Center and I will be conducting some self guided studies and research on small scale agriculture and insect rearing.
