I chose to investigate Dashes for my final project. I was curious about why we have three: the hyphen, the en dash, and the em dash. I learned so much more than I anticipated, from the Dash-dynasty that once existed to how technological advancement caused its downfall (and yet may also be the Dashes’ salvation). I hope you enjoy this summary, and do not mind that it is absolutely riddled with puns.
