As a new teacher, my professional growth plan is not so focused on my inquiry and more focussed on growing into a full-time position teaching English in a school (environment) that I enjoy working in.
The reason why this goal matters professionally is because I want to establish a concrete position for myself in a community that I enjoy working in and being surrounded with likeminded co-workers.
My 3 year professional growth plan:
Goal 1: In three years I will have secured a full-time position teaching English in a school (environment) that I enjoy working in.
2020
Sub-goal: experiencing multiple work environments
Strategy 1.1 apply to districts that interest me in regards to their known teaching principles (Coquitlam, Langley Maple Ridge)
June-July
Strategy 1.2 to be hired as a TOC in one of the above districts
September
Stratagy1.3 to TOC as much as possible in multiple schools so that I can experience many different educational environments.
September 2017
Strategy 1.4 to have secured a position within a school environment where I share my teaching values with others and enjoy working in.
