CAST is a well-known organization involved in the research and implementation of UDL. They create and share various resources on their website including <a href=\"https:\/\/udlguidelines.cast.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UDL Guidelines<\/a> and some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cast.org\/resources\/udl-tips-from-cast\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;tips sheets&#8217;<\/a> for designing inclusive learning. These include connections to social-emotional learning, reducing stereotyping and creating a positive classroom climate among many others.<\/p>\n<p>UDL at a Glance, CAST (4 min)<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bDvKnY0g6e4?si=GER__jW-bwIZZJoJ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Shelley Moore, a local champion for inclusion has a<a href=\"https:\/\/blogsomemoore.com\/2012\/04\/28\/everything-i-need-to-know-about-universal-design-i-learned-in-kindergarten\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> UDL blog post: Everything I need to know about UDL, I learned in Kindergarten<\/a> and a multitude of practical resources on her website. Her <a href=\"https:\/\/learnsomemoore.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LearnSomeMoore<\/a> website has many examples of inclusive unit and lesson plans, including some video of implementation in the field. Shelley also hosts an engaging series of Youtube videos on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@FiveMooreMinutes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">5 Moore Minutes Channel.<\/a> (You may appreciate her bowling analogy.) Her episode titled: Removing the barriers: planning for all.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MzL8yMBKM7k?si=o5jRIYJDnkwhvQ7X\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nThe following video, shared by the Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium, provides an overview of UDL while embedding examples of UDL in action across grade levels.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/U0gtoBCgNS0?si=0vOlucajW3H2ZN4Z\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nAdditional Resources:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BC Campus has locally and openly published <a href=\"https:\/\/pressbooks.bccampus.ca\/jibcudl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A Comprehensive Guide to Applying Universal Design for Learning: a collection of three UDL Workbooks<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachspeced.ca\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teach Special Ed<\/a> is an Ontario based website (french and english) that, among other things, outlines <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachspeced.ca\/teaching-strategies-students-special-needs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">teaching strategies<\/a> for working with diverse learners.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theudlproject.com\/udl-tools---all-grades.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UDL Project<\/a>, funded by the New Brunswick Ministry of Education, for some teaching resources including templates, rubrics and lesson materials across grade level\/subject areas.
