My name is Emily Lee.\u00a0I completed my undergraduate degree in the Bachelor of Science in Food Nutrition and Health, and obtained my BEd.\u00a0upon graduation with a major in Home economics. Having taught abroad in both Taiwan and Thailand, and recently in Shenzhen, China,\u00a0I have decided to further pursue my passion for teaching ESL and am in midst of\u00a0becoming an ESL specialist. Currently I teach\u00a0Senior Foods and Nutrition, ESL, and Planning 10 between two secondary schools in the Delta school district.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ecxp1\" style=\"color: #494949;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To provide a brief history of myself, I have travelled and resided in multiple cities within the United States and Taiwan. However, the majority of my childhood was\u00a0in Taiwan, and it is the home that I associate my identity with. It was not until the end of my middle-school education that my parents and I decided that Canada would offer a unique and fulfilling education for me. I have since then resided within the beautiful British Columbia.\u00a0Having been in both the international students program and the ESL program, as well as\u00a0experienced living\u00a0away from my parents and family since 15, I have experienced first hand the unique\u00a0challenges that my ELL students face today.
