Canning in History

During WWII, community members were highly encouraged to grow their own food gardens for the war effort and personal consumption. Home preservation programs were offered to assist individuals with canning or freezing their locally grown crops.

  1. These resources are very neat! It would have been good to include them in your main blog and discuss the cultural context of canning historically and how that relates to today’s perspective.
