Dr. Murray Isman will step down as Dean of the Faculty of Land & Food Systems at the end of June, 2014. A President’s Advisory Committee has been established for the selection of a new Dean. Please see the memo from Dr. Farrar with further details.

Public forums will be held for LFS faculty, staff, students and interested participants. Forum participants are encouraged to provide their feedback. Feedback forms will be distributed at the forums and other meetings. The Public Forums will be videotaped, and made available for viewing online on a secure site, for those who are unable to attend. Candidates’ CVs, feedback forms, and access to the video-recordings are available from the Provost and Vice-President Academic Office by contacting Kate Carr, kate.carr@ubc.ca.
Update – July 23, 2013: The President’s Advisory Committee met on June 17 to review the search process and hear from Dean Isman. The committee also provided input on the Candidate Profile and the Key Opportunities & Challenges, otherwise the Executive Brief. An advertisement will be distributed widely in print and web-based media for the search for the next Dean of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems.
