Students: Get Ready to Vote! FAQ on the upcoming federal election and voting.

Meet the Candidates, Hosted by the GSS

GSS Loft (Rm. 4202 at the Nest)

Hear the candidates running in the Vancouver Quadra riding speak about their platforms and ask them your questions.

The political parties* attending are:

  • Joyce Murray, Liberal Party of Canada
  • Kris Constable, Green Party of Canada

Platform presentations will be followed by a Questions and Answers period. Tweet your questions in advance with hashtag #GSSelxn2015

* The Conservative Party of Canada and New Democratic Party have sent their regrets.

Get Out The Vote and do your part in the 2015 Canadian Federal Election:

  1. Pledge to vote onlineor text YES
    to 604-265-4706
  2. Visit our GOTV Information table: Oct. 5-6, 2015, noon-1pm, Martha Piper Plaza
  3. Volunteerwith our “Get Out The Vote” campaign to engage and encourage fellow graduate students to vote
  4. Vote at your local voting station on Oct. 19  (or an advanced poll location, Oct. 9-12)

Elections Canada: UBC Campus Office
Oct 5-8, 2015, 10am-8pm, SUB Ballroom

Register and vote (advance polling) before election day to have your vote counted in the electoral district associated with your home address. This Elections Canada office will be especially useful to students who are outside their electoral districts during the election period.
