The Research Commons is currently looking to hire 4 graduate students this fall, to assist with our Thesis Formatting, Citation Management, and Qualitative Data Analysis consultations and workshops. Application deadline: July 8.
Are you skilled in using Qualitative Data Analysis software (primarily NVivo), have the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and have a passion for collaborating and sharing research? Apply for our Qualitative Data Analysis GAA position!

Citation Management Support
Could you use some help with managing your citations, and compiling your bibliography? Book a 1-on-1 consultation with our Citation Management expert for help with Mendeley, RefWorks and Zotero! Get tips on organizing your research, formatting bibliographies, and creating in-text citations with the click of a button! Citation Management consults are available during the following times:

Need help analysing your data? Book a 1-on-1 consultation with our SPSS expert for help with using SPSS to do your statistical analysis. SPSS consults are available at the following time:

Thesis Formatting Support
Could you use a bit of help with formatting your thesis? Register today for one of our weekly two-hour workshops that cover the basics of the thesis template, and useful resources for thesis writing and formatting. Work Together with the R Study Group
Join the UBC R Study Group and learn how to code and collaborate with others on open science projects. Graduate students, scientists and researchers are welcome to attend weekly drop-in meetings every Friday at 1-2pm in Koerner 153. Copyright Summer Workshops
The Scholarly Communications and Copyright Office will be holding a series of Copyright Education workshops over the summer. Workshops will focus on author and creator rights; copyright in the classroom; copyright in the digital environment; copyright and conference presentations; and scholarly publishing, funding mandates, and open access. These workshops will be of particular interest to graduate students, faculty, instructional designers and anyone else who participates in research, scholarship and teaching at the post-secondary level. Workshops will be held in Koerner Library, Room 216.
