Term 1 courses and Distance Education Term A courses:

Last day for change in registration and for withdrawal from most Winter Session Term 1 courses and Distance Education Term A courses without withdrawal standing of W recorded on a student’s academic record.

Last day to register for a course with “audit” status or change registration from credit to audit for most Winter Session Term 1 courses and Distance Education Term A courses. Refer to the online Course Schedule for specific information.

Full-year (Terms 1-2) courses and Distance Education Term B courses:

Last day for change in registration and for withdrawal from most Winter Session full-year (Terms 1-2) courses and Distance Education Term B courses without withdrawal standing of W recorded on a student’s academic record. Student Service Centre remains open for course withdrawals with a W standing. Refer to the online Course Schedule for specific drop/withdrawal dates.

Last day to register for a course with “audit” status or change registration from credit to audit for most Winter Session full-year (Terms 1-2) courses. Refer to the online Course Schedule for specific information.

As of Friday September 12^th all Faculty Owned Vehicles will be parked in the spaces between MacMillan Building and the Frank Forward Building (the spaces adjacent to the loading dock in the rear of Macmillan building).  By Friday there should be signage indicating that this is assigned space (for LFS and EOS).  It is very important that if you are using a Faculty vehicle on Friday September 12^th DO NOT return it to O lot as this lot will be closed on Saturday – September 13^th.  If you have any concerns please contact Martin Hilmer  2-4877.

Community Meeting
Please be informed that the Community Meeting for all faculty, staff and students is scheduled for September 17 (Wed) at 12:00-1:00 in Rm 260, MacMillan Building, 2357 Main Mall.  Coffee and cookies will be provided.

Each fall, the LFS Graduate Programs Office holds a BBQ to welcome new and returning graduate students. This event also give us an opportunity to recognize LFS Departmental Award winners from the previous academic year, giving them a chance to meet donors and family members of these endowed awards. This year, we’ve combined the BBQ with a special faculty-wide event, LFS Food Fest, on Wednesday, October 8^th at the UBC Farm.

Come and meet Rickey Yada, the new Dean of the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, and sample some of Vancouver’s tastiest food trucks – Vij’s Railway, Reel Mac and Cheese and Hungry Nomad. The event will also feature live music, a Farm mini-market and, of course, our graduate student awards.

Grad students must RSVP in order to get a ticket: no ticket = no food!!
