The UBC Sustainability Initiative (USI) is again offering UBC graduate students the opportunity to work in funded sustainability internship projects, with new projects beginning in February 2016. Current graduate students at UBC Vancouver, from all academic disciplines, are eligible to apply.

Call for Applications – UBC Sustainability Scholars (Paid Internship Opportunities)

In collaboration with both on- and off-campus sustainability partners, the UBC Sustainability Initiative (USI) is pleased to offer UBC graduate students the opportunity to work in funded sustainability internship projects.

USI is currently accepting applications for three UBC Sustainability Scholars internship projects that will commence in February 2016. Current graduate students at UBC Vancouver, from all academic disciplines, are eligible to apply.

Successful candidates will work under the mentorship of a partner organization, and are immersed in real world learning where they can apply their research skills and contribute to advancing organizational sustainability goals. Each Scholar receives $20 per hour to complete up to 250 hours of work from February 1st to June 30th 2016.

Opportunities for Grad Students with Access and Diversity, UBC

Access and Diversity and we are looking to hire graduate students to invigilate exams for students with disabilities or ongoing medical condition. These positions are open only to registered UBC Graduate students who are not currently taking courses with exams. PhD candidates are preferred.

Exam Invigilator – UBC Access & Diversity

Hours per week: 5-30hrs (part-time)
Salary/Wage: $16.16
Access and Diversity is seeking graduate students to invigilate exams for students with disabilities. These positions are open only to registered UBC Graduate students who are not currently taking courses with exams. PhD candidates are preferred.
Duties include: setting up and monitoring exams for students with disabilities in private spaces or group settings; setting up adaptive and computer equipment for the exams; ensuring examinees adhere to Access and Diversity procedures during exams; maintaining good communication with Exam Coordinator, Senior Invigilators and other Invigilators; conducting accurate record keeping and reporting all incidents.
