Tri-Mentoring Program Applications are now open!

Standard

Just a quick note that applications are now open for the Tri-Mentoring program and you can direct students and industry professionals here to apply: http://trimentoring.landfood.ubc.ca/forms/.

This year we are accepting applications from students in second year and above, including graduate students (who I will work with directly to either pair as a student mentee or, if we have the right interests, possibly as a mentor)!

This is just a soft launch and more specific advertising and reach outs will roll out in mid-August.

Thanks,

Karla

Graduate Student Engagement – CCP Summer on the Mall Events

Standard

My name is Jacques Martiquet and I work with Campus and Community Planning in the community development division.

This year, I am lucky to be coordinating Summer on the Mall, a free week-long event series happening in August focussing on getting outside and taking healthy breaks from studying and working. Our vision is to attract the entire campus community, including students, faculty, staff, and residents. We are currently inviting all members of the UBC Community to attend our free outdoor pop-up events, such as the Popsicle Party, or the Main Mall Museum Crawl. I would like to request your support in fulfilling our vision.

We would love to engage graduate students in your department! I have attached some information below that you could forward to your graduate students.

Please, if you have any advice or ideas for promoting Summer on the Mall to graduate students, I would love to hear from you. I have already reached out to the GSS.

Sincerely,
Jacques Martiquet
