Want to make a tangible impact on environmental pollution <em>while<\/em> spending the afternoon at the beach?<\/p>\n<p>If you answered \u201cyes\u201d to either question, we need you! Come join the UBC School of Information\u2019s Great Canadian Beach &amp; Park Cleanup from <strong>May-August\u00a0<\/strong>for four fun-filled afternoons of friendly competition while saving the environment.<\/p>\n<p>Picking up cigarette butts and plastic bottles might not be glamorous, but these cleanups are an effective way to keep waste out of our already highly-polluted environments. There will be one cleanup every month from May to August, and you can choose to participate in whichever dates you want.
