This includes students beginning their program by September 2024.\u00a0 In 2024\/25, successful Solutions Scholars will work on one of four collaborative projects\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/climatesolutions.ubc.ca\/news-and-events\/announcing-202425-solutions-scholars-projects\">which were recently selected through an open call to the UBC research community<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the program is to bring together researchers with diverse disciplinary expertise and lived experience to contribute to climate solutions-oriented research on campus.\u00a0 Each Scholar will have the chance to conduct research with an interdisciplinary group of faculty, senior researchers, and other Solutions Scholars, and participate in related professional development activities.<\/p>\n<p>Working over a ten-month period (September 2024 through June 2025), awarded Solutions Scholars will receive a $10,000 stipend as they work towards the objectives of one of the projects.\u00a0\u00a0Applications accepted up until <strong>June 14 at 11:59pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Information on applying for the program can be found here: <a href=\"https:\/\/climatesolutions.ubc.ca\/solutions-scholars-program\/apply-program\">https:\/\/climatesolutions.ubc.ca\/solutions-scholars-program\/apply-program<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Learn about this program by attending one of two Question and Answer sessions.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>First Session: <\/strong>May 30 @ 12:00 pm<br \/>\n<strong>Registration Link: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ubc.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/u5UodOGpqzooE9C1btYx7s7AURTJUkFQUE6s#\/registration\">https:\/\/ubc.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/u5UodOGpqzooE9C1btYx7s7AURTJUkFQUE6s#\/registration<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Second Session: <\/strong>June 4 @ 5:00 pm<br \/>\n<strong>Registration Link: <\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/ubc.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/u5crf-2rqD0vE9wtwK4wGDJ4QfJ7Pq68-uVI#\/registration\">https:\/\/ubc.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/u5crf-2rqD0vE9wtwK4wGDJ4QfJ7Pq68-uVI#\/registration<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>The Climate Solutions Research Collective is a new pan-university initiative to build connections across UBC\u2019s existing climate research initiatives and encourage new collaborative research on climate change solutions.
