Qualifications:
\n\uf0b7 Degree in Food Science \u2013 Master holders are preferred\/applicants with high academic GPA and impressive research record have more chance.
\n\uf0b7 Fully familiar with research framework \u2013 from research proposal to data analysis.
\n\uf0b7 No need for industry experience \u2013 you will build up your experience with us.
\n\uf0b7 You don\u2019t need to be dominant on Canadian\/US regulatory in different aspects of product development and labeling \u2013 you will learn what you need.
\n\uf0b7 Strong research and analytical skills.
\n\uf0b7 Ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external resources.
\n\uf0b7 Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and have good problem solving skills.
\n\uf0b7 Proficient in Microsoft word and Excel.
\n\uf0b7 Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
\n\uf0b7 Willing to travel<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities: \uf0b7 Assist management in creating innovations for the company \u2013 from idea generation to product launch. \uf0b7 Research product concepts, functional ingredients and new technologies. \uf0b7 Explore external source of innovation, knowledge and technology and assist management to make reliable relationships and fund applications. \uf0b7 Conduct bench tops and attend pilot and plant trials for new products and first production runs. \uf0b7 Coordinate, perform and record results of analytical procedures, including sensory evaluations and shelf life testing. \uf0b7 Develop and maintain finished product specifications and information. \uf0b7 Revise & develop nutritional information and ingredient declarations using the Genesis software program. \uf0b7 Review Packaging Label artwork for approval.
\n\uf0b7 Evaluate ingredients with respect to new projects, substitution and cost saving initiatives.
\n\uf0b7 Attend training courses and trade shows to keep up with latest industry trends.

\nThis position requires some level of travel and schedule flexibility.
