We were hoping you could help us spread the word to students\/staff<\/strong> about our October 25 Forum: Building Sustainable Communities: Taking Action<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is an event hosted by IdeasXChange<\/a> – a student-led group that promotes dialogue to address pressing local and global challenges on campus.<\/p>\n

Attendees will get to see how community organizations have approached sustainability in Vancouver, and they can be part of that journey.<\/p>\n

The theme is relevant to people from various faculties\/departments, including the Faculty of Land and Food Systems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Attendees will get the chance to meet community leaders, organizations, and fellow peers that want to make a difference.<\/p>\n

Everyone is welcome.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SPEAKERS<\/strong> will include:<\/p>\n

– Andrea Reimer<\/strong> – Vancouver City Councilor and former Deputy Mayor of Vancouver<\/p>\n

– Meg O’Shea<\/strong> – Green Economy Coordinator at Vancouver Economic Commission<\/p>\n

– Dagmar Timmer\u00a0<\/strong>–\u00a0Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives and Co-Founder at OneEarth<\/p>\n

ORGANIZATIONS<\/strong> that will be boothing include: – Sustainable Youth Canada – The HIVE – U-HUB – Roots on the Roof … and more!<\/p>\n

Get ready to be inspired<\/strong> and connect with community leaders<\/strong>, organizations<\/strong>, and other changemakers<\/strong>!<\/p>\n
