Fellows will receive a stipend of $100,000 to support their involvement in two core program components: (i) a full-time, 11+ month postdoctoral research study in a field-leading laboratory, focusing on a discipline in the natural sciences, engineering, mathematics or computing that is different from their existing area of expertise and planned future focus and (ii) a series of four global meetings at the world\u2019s leading academic institutions, interspersed across the duration of the fellowship. To be considered eligible, individuals must have <strong><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">received or expect to receive a PhD in natural sciences (including life, physical, and earth sciences), engineering, mathematics, or computing between May 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018<\/span><\/strong>. Each UBC graduate program is invited to submit <\/span><u><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: red; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">one nomination <strong><span style=\"margin: 0px; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\">(current PhD or postdoctoral fellow)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/u><span style=\"margin: 0px; color: black; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\"> to a university-wide competition.
