My name is Chris Roach – I\u2019m a recent UBC PhD graduate who\u2019s currently a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).\u00a0 When I was at UBC, one of the areas I was heavily involved in was skills\/career development for graduate students as they tried to identify what career they were going to start out in \u2013 a problem I\u2019m sure you see student in your program facing.<\/p>\n

As a graduate student, it was about this time of year that I found myself thinking about what life after my grad degree might look like.<\/p>\n My name is Raminder Gill and I am a McGill graduate (PhD – Pharmacology, 2015) and a Project Leader with BCG. Since I recently made the transition from academia to consulting, I\u2019d like to share my experience and answer some common questions that advanced degree candidates (PhDs, MDs, or LLBs) have about consulting and BCG in particular.<\/p>\n INTERESTED IN MANAGEMENT CONSULTING?<\/strong><\/p>\n The Boston Consulting Group is a global management consulting firm and the world’s leading advisor on business strategy.
