FASMail<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 please activate <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

In response to privacy and security concerns as outlined in\u00a0BC Provincial FIPPA legislation<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0UBC Policy #104<\/a>, the Faculty of Land and Food Systems\u00a0has assigned each of our graduate students a new UBC email account (FASMail<\/a>)<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0email account will remain active for the duration of your studies at LFS<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0must be used for all UBC-related correspondence<\/u><\/strong>. Starting in the spring of 2016, this email address will be the only one used by the LFS Grad Student Office to contact you.<\/p>\n

To activate your email account, please\u00a0login<\/a>\u00a0(without “.stu”)\u00a0and change your CWL password . \u00a0 (If you already have a FASMail account, you do not need to change your CWL password).<\/p>\n

To test,\u00a0log in<\/a>. If your mail box is there, you don’t need to do anything else. If you need to create a FASMail mailbox, follow these\u00a0instructions.<\/a><\/p>\n

Updating your email account in the SSC and notify Lia in the grad programs office<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

To ensure that emails are not sent inadvertently to a non UBC email, please update your preferred email address in your SSC profile to this new email account.\u00a0\u00a0This is especially important when you are appointed as a TA, as Connect retrieves email addresses for TA\u2019s from SSC.<\/strong><\/p>\n
