{"id":4106,"date":"2018-01-19T09:55:17","date_gmt":"2018-01-19T16:55:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/?p=4106"},"modified":"2018-01-19T09:55:17","modified_gmt":"2018-01-19T16:55:17","slug":"food-secure-canada-assembly-call-for-proposals-due-jan-30th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/post-4106","title":{"rendered":"Food Secure Canada Assembly &#8211; Call for proposals due Jan 30th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The call for proposals for Food Secure Canada&#8217;s 10th National Assembly is open now until\u00a0<strong>January 30th.<\/strong>\u00a0The Assembly will be held in\u00a0<strong>Montreal from November 2-4th\u00a0<\/strong>and will bring together Canada\u2019s brightest food thinkers and most innovative organizations to share and develop practical solutions to national and global issues related to food &#8211; climate, equity, health and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>The Assembly will\u00a0\u200b be a\u00a0great\u200b opportunity for researchers\/students\/professionals to \u200bshare your\u00a0work in\u200b conversation\u00a0\u00a0with community perspectives, policy and practice.<\/p>\n<p>If you have an idea for a panel or a workshop, definitely put in a proposal. Proposals\u00a0don&#8217;t need to be finalized (i.e. speakers need not be confirmed, etc.), and depending on the proposals received FSC and the review panel may recommend collaborations where proposals are similar\/complementary.\u00a0At the moment the list of themes is very broad (below), but key themes will be narrowed\/curated based on the proposals submitted.
