I would like to invite anyone interested to attend the upcoming \u00a0UBC Graduate Career Readiness Day <\/b>(see attached poster) on Tuesday, May 22.<\/b> \u00a0The event is targeted to Masters, PhDs, and Post-doc students who are interested in exploring career options outside of academia, and looking to feel empowered about doing so. If you are interested in learning more about supporting graduate students, this is a great event to attend. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event consists of 2 parts:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

9:30-12:00:<\/b> Presentation by Anne Krook (former professor who went on to work in the private sector, notably at Amazon) on job search strategies. Full details <\/span>here<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

12:30-2:30:<\/b> Hands-on workshop by Tom Scholte of UBC\u2019s Conflict Theatre on overcoming fear and negative self-talk. Full details <\/span>here<\/a><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
