Program participants learn how to effectively manage their careers and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become leaders in policy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you get<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time, permanent federal government employment<\/li>\n<li>Starting salary at the EC-03 level (from $63,428)<\/li>\n<li>Graduate at the EC-05 level (from $81,858)<\/li>\n<li>Competitive compensation and benefits<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities for training and career development<\/li>\n<li>Ability to choose a start date that works for you (up until January 2020)<\/li>\n<li>Relocation costs up to $5000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Program highlights<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuous support and opportunities for professional development<\/li>\n<li>Rotational placements in 2 different NRCan sectors<\/li>\n<li>Tackle meaningful issues such as\n<ul>\n<li>How can Canada&#8217;s economy transition to a low-carbon economy?<\/li>\n<li>How can Canada advance its trade interests?<\/li>\n<li>How can Canada develop its clean technology and bioeconomy industries?<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Program requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Graduation with a Master&#8217;s Degree or PhD from a recognized post-secondary institution that will be completed no later than December 31, 2019, with a combination of three half undergraduate or graduate courses in economics, sociology or statistics.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All positions are in the National Capital Region, a vibrant cosmopolitan area with endless activities, events, festivals and miles of nature to explore.
