We need to know what this population wants to create the best possible opportunities for participating in recreation. We\u2019ve launched a survey to hear what\u2019s needed and we\u2019re seeking your help in distributing this survey to students.\u00a0Students who complete the survey will have the option to be entered into a draw to win one of the following prizes:\u00a0$50 and $100 Visa\u00ae Gift Cards, Fit Bit\u00ae, $100 voucher for UBC Recreation Services, or a lululemon\u00ae yoga mat<\/strong>. See below.<\/p>\n Additional details about the Equity Inclusion Project are below for your reference.<\/p>\n Equity Inclusion Project Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n Findings from the 2018 Undergraduate Experience Survey (UES) indicate that UBC Asian female students are underrepresented in recreational participation and have lower rates of physical activity. To address this discrepancy and encourage exercise, the Physical Activity Office is developing an initiative to address barriers promote physical activity for Asian female students on the UBC Vancouver Campus. We are conducting surveys with UBC students who self-identify as Asian female in order to identify the barriers and facilitating factors for participating in physical activity and recreation on campus.
