\n2019 Organic Agriculture Research Forum<\/span><\/strong><\/b>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

November 1, 2018<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 OFRF is pleased to announce the 2019 Organic Agriculture Research Forum,\u00a0presented in partnership with Organicology on <\/span>February 16, 2019<\/span><\/strong> in Portland, Oregon.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day-long forum\u00a0will feature innovative presentations from researchers across all disciplines related to organic farming and food systems. The intent of the forum is to share the most current\u00a0information with farmers, ranchers, extensionists, educators, agricultural professionals, and others interested in organic agriculture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Students, farmers, and researchers who would like to apply for a scholarship of up to $350\u00a0to\u00a0attend the forum should email their request\u00a0<\/span>to <\/span>grants@ofrf.org<\/span><\/a><\/span>\u00a0no later than December 15, 2018<\/span><\/strong>. All applications must include the following: name, position, statement of interest and need of scholarship, amount requested and budget.\u00a0Scholarships will be awarded based on the need and merit of the applicant. The scholarship funds may be\u00a0applied toward forum registration, travel, and one night of lodging.\u00a0To receive reimbursement, scholarship recipients will be required to submit receipts and a brief blog about their experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

These scholarships have been made available through the\u00a0\u00a0generous support of\u00a0<\/span>Ceres Trust<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF)<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span>\u00a0is a non-profit foundation that works to foster the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems. OFRF cultivates organic research, education, and federal policies that bring more farmers and acreage into organic production.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organicology<\/span><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/a><\/span>is the largest gathering within the organic trade. The conference is designed by Organically Grown Company, Oregon Tilth, Sustainable Food Trade Association, and Organic Seed Alliance.
