Current full-time UBC graduate students from all academic disciplines are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Successful candidates work under the mentorship of a partner organization, and are immersed in real world learning where they can apply their research skills and contribute to advancing organizational sustainability goals. Applications close midnight Monday February 25<\/p>\n<p>________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>In conversation with Professor Wade Davis <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The School of Public Policy and Global Affairs (SPPGA) has partnered with the Vancouver Writers Fest to invite UBC students, staff, and faculty to join award-winning author and environmentalist Barry Lopez in conversation with Professor Wade Davis on the evening of March 25th at the Granville Island Stage.<\/p>\n<p>Lopez&#8217;s new book, Horizon, is being called one of the most important non-fiction books of the decade. Many of you may know Wade Davis, Professor of Anthropology and the BC Leadership Chair in Cultures and Ecosystems at Risk at UBC.<\/p>\n<p>Students can purchase discounted tickets for $15 under the \u201cYouth\u201d category with ID presented at the event. Regular tickets are $25.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><strong>Centre for Student Involvement and Careers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Graduate Student Career Activation Project<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CSIC wants to know how graduate students can activate their careers, and we have funds available to help you try stuff out. Dream big, or dive deep: whether it\u2019s the cost of printing business cards to support your networking, enhancing your French language skills to prepare for a career in the federal government, or paying membership fees to join a professional association, submit a proposal for a career development experience that you believe will get you one step closer to your goals.
