VPL Public Talks Speakers Wanted<\/strong>
\nLet\u2019s Talk Science, in partnership with the Vancouver Public Libraries and UBC, is looking for volunteers with expertise related to Green Cities, Recycling, Renewable Energy, Oceans, and\/or Climate Science to give a public talk at the VPL Central Branch in April or September. These Public Talks will consist of a short presentation on your research, a fireside talk with an Academic in the field, and taking questions from the audience. This is a great opportunity to engage with the public on your research and another great thing to list on your resume!<\/p>\n

Annual EG-Fest<\/strong><\/p>\n

EG-Fest is a one-day trade show style event put on by engineering and geoscience professionals, students, and organizations during\u00a0National Engineering and Geoscience Month.\u00a0<\/strong>It is a great opportunity for people in our community to see first-hand how the many facets of engineering and geoscience affect our everyday lives. The main goal of EG-Fest is to extend public knowledge and appreciation of engineering and geoscience.\u00a0Join the Let’s Talk Science booth as we host a virtual reality activity and rock identification challenge!<\/p>\n
