Extended call for papers for the 24th UBC Interdiciplinary Legal Studies Graduate Conference — 5-6 May 2020<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Summary<\/p>\n

Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British
\nColumbia invites graduate students from all disciplines to
\nparticipate in the 24th annual UBC Interdisciplinary Legal
\nStudies Graduate Conference held on May 5-6, 2020 in
\nVancouver. Vancouver is on the unceded, ancestral and
\noccupied traditional lands of the Musqueam,
\nTsleil-Waututh, and Squamish Nations. The conference
\nprovides graduate students and junior scholars with an
\nopportunity to discuss and share ideas, receive feedback,
\nand network with peers.<\/p>\n

We invite submissions from students from any discipline
\nthat fits with the theme, Changes in Law Over 25 Years.
\nOur law school is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2020,
\nand our conference is centred around developments and
\nchanges in the law since the 50th anniversary in 1995.<\/p>\n

Topics<\/p>\n

Papers may be on any topic, including (but not limited to):
\n-Technology and the law
\n-International law
\n-Environmental law
\n-Indigenous law
\n-Law and race
\n-Feminist law<\/p>\n

Submissions<\/p>\n

Submissions should include the title of the paper, a
\n250-word abstract in English, the author\u2019s name, email
\naddress, and institutional affiliation. We welcome
\nsubmissions from current graduate students and folks
\nwho have recently completed graduate studies (up to one
\nyear post-graduation). Papers from JD or LLB students
\nmay also be considered.<\/p>\n

Please send your submissions via email to
\nubclawgradconference@gmail.com<\/a> by March 15, 2020.
\nApplicants will be notified if they have been offered a
\nplace at the conference in March 2020 via email. Successful
\napplicants must register, pay the $100 (CAD) conference
\nregistration fee and submit their full paper by April
\n13, 2020. Those who wish to attend the conference
