{"id":6216,"date":"2020-04-02T12:12:16","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T19:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/?p=6216"},"modified":"2020-04-02T12:12:16","modified_gmt":"2020-04-02T19:12:16","slug":"call-for-nominations-sumaila-volvo-graduate-prize-in-environmental-sustainability-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/post-6216","title":{"rendered":"Call for Nominations: Sumaila-Volvo Graduate Prize in Environmental Sustainability"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\"><b>INTERNAL DEADLINE &#8211; April 27, 2020<\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<div id=\"center\">\n<div id=\"main\">\n<strong>Sumaila-Volvo Graduate Prize In Environmental Sustainability<\/p>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A $3,850 prize has been made available through an endowment established by UBC faculty member Dr. Rashid Sumaila\u00a0upon being named the\u00a02017 Volvo Environment Prize laureate\u00a0for a Master\u2019s or Ph.D. student whose peer-reviewed publications to date are expected to have the most significant impact on the field of environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nominees must be registered in a UBC-Vancouver Master\u2019s or PhD program in the 2019W session<\/li>\n<li>Preference is given to students supervised by faculty members who are affiliated with the\u00a0Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries; the\u00a0Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability; or the\u00a0School of Public Policy and Global Affairs.
