{"id":6829,"date":"2020-12-18T10:36:36","date_gmt":"2020-12-18T17:36:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/?p=6829"},"modified":"2020-12-18T10:36:36","modified_gmt":"2020-12-18T17:36:36","slug":"holiday-reminders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/lfsgrads\/post-6829","title":{"rendered":"Holiday Reminders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>Holiday Reminders<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dear LFS students,<\/p>\n<p>As the winter break draws closer, we would like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year\u00a02021!\u00a0We hope you can enjoy a much-needed break\u00a0from work and all the zoom meetings\u00a0while observing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/safety\/emergency-preparedness-response-recovery\/covid-19-provincial-support\/restrictions\">provincial health orders<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For those that decide to continue working in LFS buildings\u00a0during the winter break, please note that weekend and statuary holiday access\u00a0requires special approval by\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:lfs-restart@lists.ubc.ca\">lfs-restart@lists.ubc.ca<\/a>.\u00a0LFS\u00a0offices will be closed during the winter break so we recommend you to review the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/srs.ubc.ca\/health-safety\/safety-programs\/personal-safety\/6969-2\/?login\">UBC work alone policy<\/a>\u00a0and ensure that a proper procedure is set up\u00a0in case of emergency.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0faculty will recommend that you refrain from non essential travel during the winter break. If you must travel,\u00a0we strongly recommend you to work from home for 2 weeks prior to accessing any LFS buildings as a safety precaution.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like\u00a0updates\u00a0on\u00a0UBC\u2019s\u00a0covid\u00a0response,\u00a0please\u00a0find them\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/covid19.ubc.ca\/?login\">here<\/a>.
