May I enlist your support with promoting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/institute.ctlt.ubc.ca\/ta-institute\/january-2021-ta-institute\/\">CTLT\u2019s\u00a0<strong>TA\u00a0Institute<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>to graduate students and\u00a0TAs within your department\/faculty?<\/p>\n<p><em>The CTLT Teaching Assistant (TA) Institute\u00a0<\/em>is five days of free professional development workshops for UBC graduate students and undergraduate TAs. The TA Institute <strong>from January 11 \u2013 15, 2021<\/strong> includes a collection of workshops designed to support TAs as their roles change with the move to online teaching and learning. Sessions include, but aren\u2019t limited to: Online Presentation and Lecturing Skills, Designing Impactful Activities for Online Learning, Time Management Skills for Graduate Students and TAs, and Holding Space for Anti-Racism and Solidarity in Teaching Practice.<\/p>\n<p>This year, workshops are organized into 6 themes, and if attendees\u00a0<strong>complete 4 workshops<\/strong>\u00a0within a theme, and complete the related\u00a0<strong>pre &amp; post-session online modules<\/strong>, they will be eligible for a letter of completion that can be included in a Teaching Portfolio or CV.<\/p>\n<p>View the <a href=\"https:\/\/institute2-ctlt.sites.olt.ubc.ca\/files\/2020\/12\/TA-Institute-January-2021-Schedule.pdf\">full schedule of events<\/a> and learn more at: <a href=\"https:\/\/institute.ctlt.ubc.ca\/ta-institute\/january-2021-ta-institute\/\">https:\/\/institute.ctlt.ubc.ca\/ta-institute\/january-2021-ta-institute\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Recordings and resources from past online sessions can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.ubc.ca\/Documentation:CTLT_programs\/CTLT_Institute\/2020-Online-TA-Institutes\/September\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A program schedule is attached along with a social media image and a Communications\u00a0Toolkit\u00a0with sample text for your website\/newsletter, Facebook and Twitter accounts.<\/p>\n<p>Please let me know if you require any additional information or assets.
